My brother Bill and I were posing crazily for a photo for our parents before we started our trip to Miami, Florida - our favourite place to go for a holiday.
37 hours later, after the worlds longest game of Eye Spy, we made it. We headed to the house on the beach side, but first we had to cross an old flimsy suspended bridge to get over the deep trench around the house. It creaked and swung and swayed. We went inside and found out that there was no milk, so we all drove over the bridge again to get to the local store. It swung back and forwards like a pendulum on a grandfather clock as we drove across.
With two three litre milk cartons we started to head home. The view of the beach was amazing; all different shades of yellow sand and hints of orange shimmering on the crisp, clear blue water. The deep blue reached out then cascaded across the golden sand. We got to the house and were crossing the bridge when CRACK! We were falling into the trench. Our screams were heard everywhere. Even by the dead. We were stuck in the car underwater and the car was slowly filling up with the blemished water.

DESSERT
Coming back from Disneyland we pulled into the hotel car park. I asked my mum, 'What's for tea?'
"Um, we will get something from the hotel restaurant ok?"
We took the elevator up and my mum said sadly, "Sorry we are not going to get dinner... We are going to get dessert!" Confusion struck my and my brother's faces until we realised what this meant.
Smiling like a mad man at this one off I ordered the biggest dessert. When it arrived I gasped, it was 25cm from the bottom of the bowl to the top of this mountain of creamy goodness drizzled in a berry sauce (flowing down it into a collective puddle at the bottom, acting like a moat). One spoonful of this soft serve vanillery dessert and I knew this would be a moment to remember.

"HEAT SEEKER INBOUND!" yelled Po, as the plane swerved violently to the right, narrowly missing the missile, but smashing like a wrecking ball through glass, on a tall, run-down building. Instantly, three of the seven wings fell off, causing the pilot to land in enemy territory.
"RUUUUUUNNNNNN!" yelled Lala as the team just escaped the massive explosion. Bob the pilot was caught on his seatbelt (how ironic) and didn't make it.....
After a few minutes of hiding Lala called to regroup.
"Did anyone manage to salvage some weapons?" she asked. as they walked over to the destroyed helicopter wreckage.
"No," notified Po
"Well then Tinky Winky, what's our position?"
Tinky Winky walked over to Lala and showed him the GPS on his wrist.
"Uncharted," said Lala
"WELL GREAT!' shouted Po, as he kicked the ground in rage, only to be blasted aside
as a land mine blew all 3 of them flying into a hole plumetting down into the darkness...

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART COMPETITION
Here I am, cheering a little tot to keep skipping, huh, I never thought I would be spending a Wednesday morning skipping in the hot winter whether. Surprisingly I enjoyed looking after four little boys making sure that while they are skipping they don't start whipping each other. They were well behaved. It is a good memory, and it was for a good cause.

SPELLING CHALLENGE FOR THIS WEEK
Here's a great opportunity to get your parents involved in your spelling homework. Here is the challenge. Choose ten of your words and write the most interesting paragraph you can, including all ten of the words. Remember we have been learning how to use similes, alliteration and personification. Try to include some of these language features into your paragraph. Remember capital letters for proper nouns and at the beginning of sentences. Remember to punctuate carefully too. See if your parents can write an awesome paragraph as well.
